Perspectives on Race

A Discussion about Events Concerning Race

no one said a word..

At my old high school I remember ther was this one girl who would wear KKK all over her clothing. She had tattooed Hate on both of her hands. She had White power written on her folder. She also (literally) a group of clans burning a cross (like real live photos) glued on her folders. She would read these Racist Books right in class and NO ONE said anything. I can’t believe I didn’t say anything. I thought that maybe the teachers would have done something, but they allowed it… What’s up with that???

  1. Although I respect everyone’s opinion and right to freedom of speech, I disagree that students can choose to wear deeply offensive articles of clothing, especially if this was a public school. I find this to be disruptive to other students as well as teachers, much like the “Islam is of the Devil” t-shirts students have been wearing locally.

  2. Wow thats really crazy, perhaps people were so shocked about how open she was with it, they didn’t know how to respond. I mean she is free to believe whatever its just sad that its something so hateful.
