New Bright Futures pland hurt minorities

with 3 comments

Today in the alligator this was the title of the article on the front page. When I first saw this I thought it was a direct link between Bright Futures and minorities and I was outraged. Then I read the article and become ferious. The title of the article was blown completely out of proportion. With the new plan a lot more than minorities will be affected. Minorities is one of many groups that will be affected by this and for the alligator to put so much emphasis on minorities solely on the affects of minorities is just outrageous.

  1. no offense to anyone who works for the alligator, but i hate that news paper. They are so negative especialy when it comes to sports. I know when i am asked to be interviewed for women’s soccer i refuse to be iterviewed by the alligator becuase no matter what i say they find a way to twist it and make me sound dumb or even rude. On that note i can only say i can believe the alligator did that.

  2. To me, it has always seemed like this is a newspaper that thrives on the reaction they receive from their audience. You will often find a letter to the editor from an outraged reader in regards to an article written the day before. It does not surprise me at all to hear that they would publish an article with such a harsh statement as it’s title maybe as a way to just get a bigger reaction which is exactly what they accomplished since we are here blogging about it. Many of these individuals are the future of our media which goes to show how easily the media can blow issues completely out of proportion.

  3. I think the only reason they did that was because the title of the article stands out will attract readers which is what they want.
