Perspectives on Race

A Discussion about Events Concerning Race

with one comment

I have a friend that mention the rwanda genocide and how the people where handed race cards. This eventually led to hatred and the genocide. It made me think about how the military wanted to not let gay in the army or that they should not say it out loud. I think they are afraid of something like the genocide happening. If people where to say they are gay then it would lead to hatred in the army. I think this is absurb. I believe that if gays want to fight for their country they should be allow to

  1. I agree with you! I believe that if anyone wants to fight for our country all the power to them because it is not only a huge honor and responsibility, but there can be consequences for doing it (ie getting hurt). I know i am not in any hurry to sign up for any type of military, and therefore if someone else is- it shouldn’t matter what their sexual preferance is, but that they can get the job done. Another thing, you don’t find sexual preferance on any type of application out there whether it be job, military, or applying to a schol. Sexual preferance is personal and one’s choice, no one elses!
