Perspectives on Race

A Discussion about Events Concerning Race

Obama still a racist

When Glenn Beck made his comment about President Obama being a racist, most people dismissed it for the ridiculous conservative rhetoric that it was. Its understand that he makes these extreme statements to draw attention, shock people, and make them talk about his show.
Recently the chairman of Fox News appeared on a talk show and defended Glenn Beck’s points. Although he disagreed with the assertion that Obama can be likened to Stalin, he agreed that President Obama had made racist comments, and stated that “if you actually assess what [beck] was talking about, he was right.”

I believe the vast majority of Americans would agree that he is not right, even the majority of conservatives would disagree that Obama is a racist. Why is this man, who leads News Corporation which owns Fox News and other media outlets, making and agreeing with such outlandish statements? It serves only to discredit his supposedly impartial companies.
