Perspectives on Race

A Discussion about Events Concerning Race

with 2 comments

The American Anthropological Association called “RACE: Are We So Different?” that is a traveling exhibition that goes from different museums. It has a educational materials and an interactive website and it looks at race in the United States through the lenses of history, science, and lived experience. It’s good that there are programs like this that allow for the open discussion of race in modern society so we can see that there is something we can do about fighting the specter of race.

  1. Very interesting, I expect to spend quite sometime perusing this site and reading the data that they have collected. It makes me feel good to know that we are moving in a positive direction with the idea of global citizenship.

  2. This looks like a great program which works to educate and expose to people the similarities that all humanity has. We are very quick to differentiate as humans and look at all the differences. It looks as though this program points out the similarities that we often overlook and miss.
