Perspectives on Race

A Discussion about Events Concerning Race

Rush Limbaugh

with one comment

This seems to be a busy week for the voice box of the Right. Rush Limbaugh took a satirical online article written from the perspective of President Obama where he criticized the Constitution and called for a massive redistribution of wealth. As a piece of satire, obviously it wasn’t factual. This didn’t stop Rush from saying that, “comedy must contain an element of truth, and we know how he feels about distribution of wealth.” He supports his use of the satire by arguing that, “We know Obama thinks it anyways.”

Although I agree that our president must be criticized and watched over by the people and the tools of the people, chiefly the media, putting words in the president’s mouth is too much. It was easy to make President Bush look stupid, considering he did a lot of it himself, but Rush lying about President Obama isn’t the right way to do things. But I’m sure Rush knows that.

  1. Rush is simply doing what the left did to Sarah Palin and Bush. Just because the media is biased, doesn’t mean you need to be too, just saying.
You can’t say that he needs to be watched and criticized and then when someone does it say they are being racist, or conservative, or biased. You can’t have it both ways.
P.S. We do all know how Obama feels about distribution of wealth =P
