Perspectives on Race

A Discussion about Events Concerning Race

Can a more colorful late night lineup attract an audience

with 3 comments

Late night television will change there tactics by using celebrities of color something they usually do not do. Next month African American women Wanda Sykes and Hispanic man George Lopez will be added to the late night show.  I think this will be a go thing for the late night show because it will add diversity and maybe they will have more viewers of their show.  I also think it could be good with Wanda Sykes and George Lopez adding a different perspective of comedy on the late  night show.

  1. I agree. More diversity means a wider demographic.

  2. This is a great thing. I love diversity. I hope they get a chance in the ratings though. What network will these shows be on?

  3. This is going to make for great late night viewing, I love Wanda Sykes, she is so funny!

I’m not sure if anyone of the students in this class are old enough, but does anyone remember Arsenio Hall from the early 90’s? He was really funny!
