Perspectives on Race

A Discussion about Events Concerning Race

with one comment

I saw the movie Capitalism: A Love Story by Michael Moore yesterday. It discussed the problems with the USA with regulation of the stock market and selling of homes and insurance and how it started with Reagan and has gone down hill since then. In American Aparthid, it discusses how since the major pushes of the civil rights movement in the 60s and 70s, there has not been much done in terms of assistance and advancement for minorities. This could have to do with the administrations that we have had after the 70s. Most of have been Republican including Reagan who not only set back Blacks and minorites, but all working class people. Moore discusses the statistics dating from Reagan until the present day. That layoffs have increased, while work hours and production per worker has increased and wages have stayed relatively the same since 1980.
