A Discussion about Events Concerning Race

Bombing the Moon: Possiblilities of a New Racist Frontier

I know that this is going to sound a little bit odd and like a conspiracy or ridiculous theory…but I am just using this as an example or idea to hypothesize about the possibilities as to what could happen to racism in the future.

Anyway, on Friday, October 9, 2009, the United States of America bombed the moon in order to create a five mile wide crater to explore further possibilities that water might have once existed on the moon. This completely blew my mind and sent it off on a tangent regarding a hypothetical situation about the status of racism if we found intelligent alien life on the moon or another planet. Would the aliens band all humans together one flag where the only minority was the aliens? Would the face of racism be drastically changed? Or, would aliens instead be put in the majority group (aka put in a status equal to whites)?

Another way to put this would be to think thee possibility of another race that currently did not exist within the global community. Personally, I think that the entire racial/ethnic stratification would change drastically. In all likelihood, humans would band together as a group and make the aliens the new minority and racially prejudiced against group. I would not even be surprised if we, as a species, were to repeat time old mistakes and subject the aliens to slavery, or on not such an extreme end, at least be prejudiced toward them and perhaps demand segregation. But, of course, this all depends on our perception of the aliens, how intelligent they are, and what they looked like. Any opinions?
