Perspectives on Race

A Discussion about Events Concerning Race

Presidential Racism

with one comment

This article discusses the disagreements with Obama and whether they are racially charged or not. Personally, I think they are. There are more people out right yelling and critizing the president, to the extent a SENATOR is interrupting the president, then with Bill Clinton when he was trying to make healthcare reform.

But I have respect for our president. The way he has been handling the situation is phenmomenal. Just like the article says, “he is trying to walk an extraordinarily thin line.” He does not say that the disagreements against him are racists nor does he deny that there are racial tensions. He lets other battle the issue out, because if he gets involved, I believe there would be even more trouble and public outcry towards the president.

  1. I totally agree. Defintely have to give our President props for handling the racism issue so well. It really is a thin line he’s walking on. It’s hard enough being President without having to deal with these issues, I can’t imagine how it must be for him. I will continually pray for him, cause its a tough spot he’s in.
